Dunwoody is gonna be fun getting in and out of. If you move west to johns creek or Alpharetta, that drive will suck. IF you move more west towards Decatur, you are gong to die

Good luck

it’s the unpredictable random crap that ends up doubling your already-long commute that kills you.

Truth be told, in Denver it we had the crap but it was predictable...mexicans wrecking their cars in the dumbest ways possible and californians not merging correctly

Brookhaven would be closer to your commute, further from the cool venues (as I perceive them).

I think ive resigned myself to just trying to find a spot with a reasonable commute that doesnt necessarily have to be in a fun part of town. I suppose I can always uber to places. Doing an apartment search, south Sandy Springs had some reasonable apartment prices.

If you find a few that you like post them here and I'll tell you whether you'll get stabbed there or not

Im coming from Denver where the traffic is comparable if not worse

Nope. You don't realize how bad Atlanta traffic is until you spend time in it.

It takes at least a half hour to go anywhere in Atlanta or the burbs

You want to find an apartment complex that has similar people, unless you already know a lot of folks in the area. fun parts of town are easy to get to after hours, work not so much. Along the Marta line or close to it is a great option to get you to some of the fun parts of town as well.
