Where do you live? There’s people who can take care of all that… pricing, selling ect. If you want to take it on eBay places like that but strongly suggest taking your time researching what you have and average price for it.

Is there a way to unload this stuff all at one time? I imagine using Ebay is going to be painful.
Any other ideas?
Reverb.com is the "Ebay for music gear." It helps if people create a profile and just record all of their gear in it, then when they pass away it's easy to turn on that it's listed for sale, and the site has pricing information... but even if you just want an idea of what something is worth and selling for, look it up on there...
Facebook marketplace and Craigslist... are not where you necessarily find people not looking to get something for almost nothing, but they are there...
Music stores/pawn shops in your area will probably be happy to buy the batch... for as little money as possible so that they can make a profit on selling it individually.
If you want what things are worth rather than just to get rid of it, you probably have to list the stuff separately and deal with shipping it to people.
You pay a tax of sorts for the convenience of just getting rid of it all at once in a batch, because that's going to go to someone interested in making a profit reselling it.

You could check with local schools or church's? Maybe they would be willing to give you something for the lot. But it won't be anything like what you would get selling individual pieces.

Sorry for your loss.
Try and get a copy of Vintage Guitar magazine. There are a lot of music store advertisers that buy up collections in that magazine.

Thanks everyone. I live in Winston-Salem. My mom lives in upstate SC. I thought about donating but I’d also like to be able to give my mom some money for it all.
I may have to bring it home with me in different trips.

If it was my Dad's stuff, I would prob keep an eye open for some kids in a garage band. Then, drop some stuff off. I think your Dad wud love that idea.

I'm in Charlotte. I have a buddy who owns a company that supplies backline stuff to music shows.
He may have an interest?

Donate it to Baton Rouge Music Studio on Government Street. They teach music lessons (guitar, voice, bass, etc...) to kids and have a great rock band program for kids. I'm sure that they could use the equipment and the people would be very appreciative.
