I said that I wouldn't say it was a race thing. People who could afford to do so wasn't sending their kids to White Castle HS so they went to HS in either Donaldsonville or Plaquemine (some went to schools in BR) so people moved our for various other reasons.. And like anywhere else, when that happens those without the means stay behind.

My point was with respect to White Castle, he was in good shape already. 99% of the people from White Castle ain’t living that level. So to say the op should compare himself to Brandon Landry doesn’t really work.

I agree. And if we are being technical Brandon didn't live IN white castle.. As in the city limits. I think his parents are closer to Bayou Goula, which is very small and is part of the "white castle area".
Like this house, I went to school with the family who built this house, I don't know if they still live in it. I know they have an elevator in it.
