Bold move putting the project housing from The Wire right next to the Civil Rights museum and luxury high rises.

Yeah, that'll be awesome watching some of these rich no boating mother frickers try to navigate the river when it's at that 17' flood stage...

Side note: does the river turn blue in the future...

A key element of the River District neighborhood is housing aimed at those making average or below-average incomes. The development team said the first component of the development would be to construct 600 apartments, half of which would be split equally between those defined as "workforce" and "affordable," based on their incomes relative to the city's average.

I thought they wanted to attract conventions to the area? Name one convention destination that tries to surround their convention hub with affordable housing?

Any of you in the know baws got an update on when the Four Seasons might be opening up? I know it's been said this spring, but seems they may be able to give a better date now.

It's fricking New Orleans. There's no way it'll look even close to that.

Building things that aren't intended to be profitable doesn't seem like a good idea.

Why does the city need affordable housing on riverfront property? That makes zero sense and is a terrible use of the land.

If they build this development instead of putting in affordable housing they need to build the Saints a new stadium...or both

Why would someone who say makes $250k a year voluntarily live in the same building, for a significantly higher price than trash that makes $8/hr and is going to destroy the nice, shared public areas.

There is mixed income housing all over the city

Hope they have better luck building this type of building than the contractor did building the EBR downtown library.
