Why does the city need affordable housing on riverfront property? That makes zero sense and is a terrible use of the land.

Because you're a racist.

Probably has something to do with federal law and HANO

Probably so and their had to be some of this modern urban affordable housing stuff thrown in to make everyone happy.

I don't have a big problem with this part if it's well run. Having a place near the convention center with more of the worker folks to be able to live and not have to rely on the city's horrible public transportation isn't the worse thing in the world.

Why invest in that area if climate change will sack the city in 30 years?

This is also a pretty great example of where I'd rather not find myself after dark once this gets up and running...

I laughed so hard when I saw this yesterday. Those sly fricks knew EXACTLY who the were pitching to.

The greased the wheels with SJW nonsense, and this will be a failure.

There is absolutely no way in hell this is going to get done. And it certainly won't be like those renderings. It's New Orleans for frick's sake not Singapore.

Why would someone who say makes $250k a year voluntarily live in the same building, for a significantly higher price than trash that makes $8/hr and is going to destroy the nice, shared public areas.

They won't.

Low income housing in the midst of a supposedly upscale development is an invitation for failure.

There is a time limit that the housing has to be lower income, something like 10 years. After that point they can be converted into higher cost housing.
