We don’t get the Cajun crawtators anymore. Did they stop that flavor all over or is just here in Florida?

I always thought they were a New Orleans only thing.
What made you think that?

Guy had an oilfield service company.. back in the crash of oil prices …1980ish…company went out of business.. sitting around and his wife brought home some kettle chips.. before kettle chips were everywhere.. I think they were from a small company in Texas.. he thought and then went to his wife and said hey theses are great but we could put a Louisiana twist on them.. took a big risk.. paid off.. I recall when they first came out:)

Bought by Utz a few years ago

Sounds like Louisiana needs a new kettle-cooked chippery. Who’s got some seed money?

You sure about that? It’s looked shut down the last couple dozen times I’ve passed it
If it shut down that was somewhat recent.
Utz bought them over 10 years ago, right after Mr Zappe died.
And if they are being made somewhere else that’s a good thing. That plant was not run very well when it came to cleanliness. I can guarantee you’ve eaten remnants of Ingersoll Rand compressor oil with your chips.

I’ve had those Boosie chips, they’re not too shabby. Is that a kettle cooked chip?

Honey jalapeño sounds good for a chicken marinade.

Bought a bag of LSU chips a few years back as a joke but ended up having to eat them. Don’t remember the flavor but gd they were fricking amazing or I was really hungry.

It's embarrassing to buy them at the counter but GD some of those Rap Snacks are totally legit

Just grab a pack of magnums, some Vaseline and some rap snacks and tell the clerk it’s party time.
