Im getting reports that Grand Isle got hammered and 18 wheeler trucks blown over on LA1 bridge in Leeville and cars blown off the bridge.

It was interesting on the Causeway around 3pm today, heading north. Needed both hands on the wheel at all times. The wind was pushing my vehicle all over. I drive it pretty much everyday and that was the strongest sustained wind I've experienced.

Seen a report of 100 mph gusts and some very large waves out there.

If you check twitter, I'm sure you can find a gif of the radar when that wake low formed this afternoon. Big swath of precip over the lake just starts drying up as MSY started catching bigger gusts.

Several years ago we had one form in Southern TN/North AL behind a North-South moving line. There were sustained winds over 40 with gusts 70+. Wrecked shite north of us, but fizzled out before it got to our house.
