Darn it! It's 'sow'!

My guess is that he saw an opportunity for publicity,
My guess is he wanted to make his ex wife look bad in the custody battle that he and her are gong through

I think he's questioning his virtue smoke signaling. Even nola.com posters are letting him have it.

I'm saying his personal opinions have nothing to do with his own business unless he uses his business to push those opinions
While i agree, the other poster had a point. He's using his "platform" as a somewhat known brewery owner to bad mouth another business for nothing other than attention, or it may have to do with his divorce.... that one poster really added some meat to this little debate...

Screw him and his Brewery. I won't go back.

Scott Wood said he was skimming the documents for his 5-year-old son's summer camp recently when he came upon a term that struck him as "off." The Courtyard Brewery owner wondered if he was being oversensitive over the program's use of the word "redskin,"
He could have asked them to leave the name of his business out of the article......but why would he miss out on free publicity?

I mean i agree with you that once he spoke to them they would blast his name and business all over it, but why did he talk to them in the first place?

Or he could have called the camp and expressed his sensitivity. Instead he took it to social media. I am sure as a business owner if a patron had a issue with his bar he would rather that patron talk to management instead of going straight to Nola.com

didn't they contact him after seeing his personal twitter post?
the media loves to controversy, it drives clicks
Scott is an extremely opinionated guy who seemingly doesn't give a shite about pissing people off with his views
like I said in a previous post, it is pretty well known that he is a huge liberal, he has never been shy about it
I don't think he argues on FB beer groups with people because of "publicity"
he is just an opinionated guy

Some of you may have seen the Times Picayune article on my decision to keep Jules out of a summer camp which still uses racist terminology and oppressive language against Native Americans to distinguish between groups of young campers.
Some of you may believe that I am overreacting or just wrong in my appraisal of their decision to continue to harm Native people through derogatory slurs. If this is the case, then I'm so glad you're still reading, because you're wrong and somebody needs to tell you and it may as well be myself, since we're friends.
What the Times article failed to do was to paint a larger picture of the context of our wee little disagreement with racist sentiment and the need to continually break down remnants of racist expression. From monuments to multi-generational traditions, racism is no longer OKAY, even here in the South. There was a good opportunity to present an education on why these things aren't okay, but maybe a reporter just reports and I'm here to opine.
