DNT is the reason for the northern expansion of the city. I gladly pay my $80/mo in tolls.

I’ve had flats on NTTA roads twice. Both times, I called the emergency number and they sent a guy out in minutes to put on my spare without having to get out of the car. They instruct you to stay in the car and these guys do the dangerous task for no additional charge on your toll account.

AAA, roadside assistance companies, etc are not allowed to work on the toll roads.

NTTA toll tag check in thread

The orange T looks the best out of all the toll tags. When someone sees the Orange T on your windshield they know you like to frick.

Sadly, one of my tiers of judgement on drivers is where their tags are from, in Houston. No tag, ultimate danger. HCTRA tag, I must evaluate the vehicle and the driver from behind. Dallas tag, accelerate and pass immediately.

DNT is a complete source of frickery at high speed. Close to zero shoulders in many locations, every dumbass on their phone, lane drifting, etc. At least in Houston I have 7 other lanes to choose from, DNT just traps you.

There are households paying $400+/month to get around in heavy traffic

I think we can all agree that is excessive and wrong

Why does 'the government' owe you a road, but doesn't owe a working taxpayer health care?

You’re being facetious but this is literally how those sickos think.

When the government fricks up your health care, as they've proven they'll frick up anything, are the consequences similar to fricking up roads?

didn't, but the reason we pay taxes to the worthless government is to build this shite, not for them to take our tax money and let a private company build the roads and charge for them in perpetuity.

You do realize none of these roads would be built out to the extent they are without this system, youd be on here bitching about traffic.

Dont be poor.

Don’t drive on them.

They are the best highways in town. Almost always flowing at 80 mph.

It's literally a road with no traffic lights and limited access. Essentially an interstate. The government can build those all over the country paid for with our tax dollars, but this one is special?

There's some serious douchey whining in this thread. I've lived here long enough to appreciate the frick outta the toll roads around here.

So you enjoy paying extra for things the government should be providing with the tax dollars they already give you? Weird flex.
