My wife asked me last night where I wanted to go eat Saturday night since we have a sitter. I said I'll go to mcdonalds for all I care. I just want time away from fatherhood.

Getting married next year. Just curious, how old are your kids? I've pretty much accepted kids are the end of fun forever

Nah man this is not the case. Its just a different kind of fun. Yeah you dont get as much "alone" time with you SO but its having kids is great and feel bad for those couples in there mid to late 30s without kids.

Cook steaks, pour some wine, and put a movie on for the kids to watch while they eat chicken nuggets.

We went to a glass blowing place the other night. It was different and fun. She likes the painting places. Me not so much. We go to comedy clubs fairly often and that seems to get her in the mood better than anything. I like live music, but she is not really into it, so I save that for drinking beers with buddies.

If you are in a decent sized city you probably have free concerts in the park during nice weather.

We have a rather remote spot we occasionally drive to where we watch the sunset and kill some win before going out for dinner. Well I watch the sunset and she gives head.

define "a lot". We go to the race track- Evangeline or Fairgrounds occasionally. Not terribly expensive and usually enjoy it. Concerts and special events (Fur Ball, LSU/charity shite). Luckily, we are at the point in our lives where a dinner date is interesting and exciting enough most of the time.

Our date nights were with kids excluding the youngest when at crumbsnatcher stage. Once 2 yrs old or so, they got in on date night action. Worked for us!

Really hoping this isn't the case.

Mine were not. Now there were times when we could not do what we wanted, but as they get older it makes it easier to get away for the weekend/ date night

we have been traveling more, no where exotic just places we have never been

lol sorry, brah. It's true. Look, kids can be fun, but you practically have no freedom.

We go to the race track- Evangeline

This is an excellent date night... I'm from the Lake Charles area so we usually go to Delta Downs. There is a steakhouse with an outdoor balcony overlooking the finish line. We enjoy the evening at the table and go outside for each race. We don't win much but it's fun to put a couple of $2 quinellas on each race.

We like to go to the local trashy bar on UFC fight night. It's a really big self esteem booster and makes us appreciate what we have at home
