That's no reason to buy a hideous watch

I will refrain from saying anything mean about Panerai. I'll only say I don't like how they look.

That’s just stupid for something that sits on your wrist.

Ive never spent more than $700 on a watch in my life.. but i have splurged for several years on season tickets for the N.O. Saints and LSU Tigers.. i bet lots of people , maybe not on this board, would say spending the kind of coin i spend for football tickets is ‘stupid’.. but i think, to each his own.

I’ve always been attracted to their uniqueness and having rotated through a seamaster pro 300m, air king and bb58. Thinking something different from those 3

His response made me laugh.

Knew I’d get the typical your phone has a clock etc but just wanted to generate a little watch discussion

I’ll second the Who you know aspect. I like the more traditional model. If your in Houston try Deutsch and Deutsch. I have bought many watches from Mr Russell. Fantastic family!

I may just buy without seeing the watch in person

How big is your wrist? The cases are pretty large, but don’t typically wear as big as their dimensions say (short lugs). However, most of them would still probably look ridiculous on my wrist (6.25 inches).

They are beautiful. You don’t need to see in person to buy. To me, the strap is what you need to really key in on with a Panerai depending on the look you are going for.

My buddy has one it’s about the only brand in that range I haven’t owned at some time or another. Got out the watch game 6-7 years ago. Too addicting and way too much money.

I had no idea Subs were going for so much right now. How much would my 03 made, sold new in 07, Sea Dweller go for right now on secondary? Not the DSSD, just Sea Dweller on Oyster Bracelet. Guess I’ll have to check out watch recon to see. Interesting.

I'm in Lafayette, I know the dealer I've worked with before will get me a Submariner but it could be a year or so. I have a decent spend there, about 10k, but there are some that spend quite a bit more

It's hilarious to watch these retards lose their fricking minds over people wearing watches.

Omega makes a nice watch thinking of picking up the new Speedmaster sapphire sandwich model.

I kind of like those Omega aqua terra golf models, also like the speedmaster quite a bit.

I sold mine about 6 years ago - I purchased 2 Tudors with it and still put about $3500 in savings

I owned the Seamaster GMT years ago and sold it. Wish I still had it. Have a Sub 126610 LV and a 126710 BLNR on Jubilee and a black dial Milgauss GV that I packed away going to sell it in March/April when it is either discontinued or refreshed with new 70 hr movement.
