This was big business for the minority community after the August floods.
I helped about 10 or 12 friends/family gut their houses, which were complete loses and during every single one, they'd come by taking anything with metal. They'd load it onto their $600 truck that looked like the wheels were about to come off.

Was helping friends clean out their flooded home on labor day. Their entire house was a loss. Their entire street was a loss. They were still in the process of cleaning stuff out and piling it up and instead of offering to help people these thug POs come by with a truck and start digging through the piles for metal. I told them to GTFO and that maybe their time would be more valuable helping others. I'm not sure the POS understood English but it burned me up.
Translation: I was throwing stuff away I didn't want until I saw someone else wanted it.

Yep.
And how dare those extremely poor minorities try to make money by moving your garbage and recycling it.
The nerve...

Older lady I was helping out had pieces of her metal bed frame stolen in the night because she had left it outside on her wall to make sure it would dry. Sick fricks.

Not flood related but I have a storage pod in my driveway to pack stuff from my garage as I build a shop and organize my garage/basement. People will ring my doorbell and knock on my door and ask if they can go through the pod if there is anything to giveaway.
WTF is this kind of behavior? frick scavengers......

how much less work did TigerRyno not contribute to those in need by wasting time typing this thread?

If they're digging through the stuff at the road and not making a mess by scattering the pile, then I don't see the issue
There isn't any. Ryno is just a crybaby. Maybe these guys had already cleaned up their own neighborhood. Are they supposed to go street to street cleaning b3fore they can do their scrapping? What a whiny post by the OP.

I remember families of Mexicans coming around to go through my stuff. They'd take any kids toys, shoes or furniture type stuff. I felt bad for them, can you imagine having to dig through flood debris to find stuff for your kids.

Ya I feel like you are over reacting, which is reasonable given recent events

I had a bigger problem with people coming to dump their trash in my yard because their trash pile had been picked up already than I did with people trying to take my trash in August of last year. Then the old baw I caught dumping trash bowed up on my property at me and doubled down on stupidity when I told him to stop.

I imagined Ryno yelling at these guys and had a chuckle.
