Backing into spots is a common safety tip for crowded parking lots. Military prefers. Refinery’s prefer. Big Trucks prefer....Plus, Science has proven it makes you grow hair on your chest. That’s why most women will not do it.

I will have a back up camera in every car I ever own from here on out. Makes life so much easier and safer

That's how safe driving is taught. First move forward. Easier to see when backing in to a spot than when backing out of one.

And what's the difference of backing in to save time vs backing out when leaving?
For oilfield/refinery/plant, military, or high capacity parking with emergency evac preparedness of really any kind, the back in --> pull out practice is the best practice for a swift mass exit. Imagine all of the people in a parking lot trying to back out all at once in an emergency; it would be pure chaos.
Ideally, we should ALL back in --> pull our OR pull through --> pull out in every parking situation. Because you just never know when you'll need to get out in a hurry, safely.

I get your point here, but if you drive a truck, you should be man enough to back it out at the grocery store. Curious how many accidents have happened or time wasted waiting for idiots to back in. God forbid a man drive a few spots down and walk a few more steps.
I had a very indepth operation on my ankle and I rated a handicap placard. I barely used it and would generally park away from others for my convenience and to let elderly or more severe handicap use the spots.

It's a requirement at many work places. People come to work at a staggered pace, but leave all at once. You have to either back in on arrival of back out. Accidents happen when everyone is backing out at once.

A lot of people around where I work and live do this. What is the logic behind it? I've asked some that I know and they say its simply to get out easier. Sure, but its even harder to back into a space than it is to back out of one.
BAW has never sat through a plant safety course....evidently!

So the get-back man and cops can't see your plate.

Assuming the driver does not have a backup camera, when you pull into the parking lot and up to the space, you can see well all around. You are able to know that you can back in and not run over someone, at least more so than getting in your car, buckling up, starting the car, then looking backwards to hopefully see if it is clear.
Also, it is a great idea to back into a space when you go to an event where everyone will be leaving at the same time.
I have no idea why you caught so much shite for asking a question.

It's a safety issue for some companies. We're required to back in. The reasoning is that it is safer to back into a spot than back out blindly in oncoming traffic. Also, some shite that we're more alert in the morning than we are leaving work.

My truck turns tighter backing up than it does going forward. A lot of times its the only choice I have to be able to get into a spot in a crowded parking lot.
Frankly I don't give a shite what your opinion is of how I park my own vehicle.
Yes. It’s easier to back into a parking spot in a pickup truck. It’s the only way I park.

If no other vehicles are around, park however you want. That said, I work in a high rise atop a multi floor garage. When it's 8 AM and everyone is driving up the garage to get to work, it is incredibly inconsiderate for someone to go through the maneuvering to back into a space while holding up a line of cars with people trying to get to work on time. Those people suck.

The Germans do this-many times.

1. Because when you’re pulling forward to leave, you have full view in front of you as opposed to relying on a mirror in which you could potentially not see somebody or something and back into them or run over.
2. My truck has a camera with guidelines that make it easy as hell to back into a spot perfectly.
3. I have a much easier time turning that way into a spot as opposed to turning the other way into a spot.
