Whats the deal with that? Thats really a pain in the arse
I had never heard of such until I was visiting my cousin and her baby daughter last week, and got wrapped into an episode of Say Yes to the Dress, Atlanta. Some old hag was getting her vows renewed on a Wednesday or some shite. Seemed odd to say the least.

I had a Friday night wedding. We chose Friday because it was the only date open around the time we wanted at the venue we wanted. Nearly everyone we invited made it. Glad they all had good attitudes about it.
I'd much rather have a friend call/text me that they couldn't make it versus being all pouty about it on a message board.

That doesn't count.

I'm sure a ton of people have Friday night weddings. That's completely different than a Wednesday wedding.

My cousin got married out of town on a Monday night. Was obligated to go and it was a good excuse for a road trip, but there may have been 30 people there. No alcohol and the reception was in the attached church hall, so I'm guessing money was an issue.

Better than those bitches who have one during football season.

As I said earlier, probably their anniversary. Makes sense to keep the same one if they're renewing their vows, no?
ETA: But I wouldn't expect many to attend a mid-week wedding, and I probably wouldn't make such a big deal about renewing vows that it made "Say Yes to the Dress" .

I've been to a couple of Friday afternoon ones but one right in the middle of the work week is a new one to me.

I personally like the Friday evening weddings. Gives you that day to recover before you have to go back to work. Also makes the flights cheaper your guests.

I think it's cheaper evening weekdays.

I know of a few trashy ones that have gone up to the justice of the peace on a weekday but never a full wedding.
Guilty. On a lunch break at that.

(Not counting Friday nights and Sundays, which people do all the time 'cause it's cheaper and easier to book those days.)
If you're Catholic and getting married in BR, it is gonna be on a Friday night or saturday morning. We picked Friday night
Waaay more people showed up than expected. Fun time

A week day wedding sounds depressing.

My oldest daughter is getting married in Healdsburg (Sonoma County Wine Country) in 3 weeks on a Saturday. To have the wedding on a Friday is -$1500, Sunday -$1200, weekday -$3000 for the venue. So if people are strapped for cash to have a reception any day but Saturday saves big $$$. Caterers, flowers and most things are the same no matter what day it is. Rentals (tables, chairs ect..) are about 25% cheaper during the week also.
For those parents who may be wondering what a wedding costs; a non-extravagant country wedding with about 230 guests is going to set you back about $50K. Every time I write a check I wonder if I should have made them get married on a Tuesday.

I am a groomsmen for one soon. It's on a Monday out of town (not for them), so completely messes me up, but it is the only day they and their co-workers (who make up most of their friends) all get off, so it makes more sense. I'm screwed out of two vacation days because of it though.

They work at a salon? Museum?
