All of this is great info, also I went to the New Balance store in Town Center in BR. They have a machine you stand on and it shows the pressure points in your feet and recommends a type of arch support for you shoes. I bought two sets, one for work shoes and one for gym shoes. Good luck, it was a MFer.

If you're running you need to stop until it heals.
I work with Marines and can't tell you how many don't realize that musculoskeletal injuries will never heal completely without abstaining from the activity that caused it.

I've been walking/running on treadmill three days a week as part of trying to get my skinny fat arse into shape and I feel like I've developed something similar to this in my right heel.
It doesn't bother me all the time, but I get these weird sharp pains in my heal randomly. Sometimes it hurts to walk on it but goes away after awhile. I can sort of feel it if I point my foot upwards.

Plantar fasciitis...Help!
After going through 4 shots in my left heel, 3 shots in my right, a plantar fasciitis release surgery on left foot, a tarsal tunnel release surgery on left foot and physical therapy, I still have extreme pain in my left foot.
Life the last 3-4 years has been pretty miserable, in terms of pain/activity. Go to the best doctor you can and best of luck man.

I had Plantar Fasciitis in both of my feet. I went to Jon Hymel (Off Bluebonnet) in Baton Rouge and he used the Graston Technique for treatment. I began feeling better with my Plantar Fasciitis on the first visit and after a few weeks I did not need to return. I recommended this type of treatment to several friends and they also had the same positive results.

rest. It's literally the only thing that will fix it.

Stories like this make me want to see no doctor, period.
