Episcopal > CP by a good bit. They make you pay for it though.

phenomenal, but I'm not a fan of Denham Junior or Denham High.

Theyre both A rated schools. Denham junior is the top rated middle school in Livingston the last 4 years. My kid just left Denham jr and loved it. He’s at the HS now and loves it. What’s not to be a fan of?

Denham High isn't a bad public school baw.

“Not bad” isn’t good enough. His kids will get a better education at the private schools.

Had my child at Denham schools in the gifted program. Realized that what was being provided was not enough in either a college preparatory or life skills manner. Moved to a private school.

I'll second the comment on CP being stuck in the past. Their board is predominately former students and anything that promotes change has almost zero chance of happening. Their goal is to "preserve" the school but instead they're holding it back in a bubble. From what I hear it's down to around 300 students now when it used to be around 800 - 1000 in my day. Principals have been changing annually the last several years. Since school started this past August they've lost the principal, PE/boys basketball coach, girls softball/basketball coach, AD/baseball coach, and soccer coach/Spanish teacher.

Episcopal models their school after Isidore Newman school and is very expensive.

Episcopal doesn’t model their school off of Newman. WTF are you talking about?
It’s an Episcopalian school like thousands of others around the country.

I put my child at Mercy and moved from Denham to BR 6 months ago. Couldn’t be happier. Don’t miss anything about Denham/LP.

CP has had extremely high staff turnover the last ten or so years. Was a pretty good school in the early 2000s but has gotten worse every year since. Although supposedly they got a huge insurance settlement from the flood and are rebuilding the campus at gurney/joor. Might improve things. Central getting its own school district kind of killed the school though.

The board changes just as much as the faculty so there is no continuity or overall plan as a school.

And lol @ the Episcopal comparison. Episcopal is probably 5 times more expensive

I went to CPS from 1982-1993. It was a good school back in the day.

Last time I looked Episcopal is about 17-18k/per year. We live within walking distance of the school so we checked it out. A bit too steep for me. I think CPS is about 5-6k.

I don't know much about CPS anymore but I wouldn't be surprised if the public options in Central are better now.

Me and my group of friends did well in college after graduating from CP, along with my siblings and all their padnahs. But it seems to have dropped in quality for sure. RIP Mrs J
