I think its more that they have somehow associated the vaccine with liberals and at this point if liberals started telling everyone to get a dog some here would go shoot their dog

It's like anything else, it's kneejerk reactionism
COVID obsession/precaution was adopted as a religion by the batshit left, and naturally those of us not in that contingent went the other direction to varying degrees. I don't wanna wear a mask, so pronoun boy wears a mask in his profile picture for absolutely no reason whatsoever. He does that, so I decide the vaccine for this fake arse illness is really a ploy for the NWO and refuse to take it.
Conservatives could come out in favor of vitamin D to help with COVID and within a week Democrats would be refusing to go out into the sun. It's hilarious because each side is able to control the opinions/actions of the other to some extent (albeit circular).

What irks me is the illogical reasons people give to not get the vaccine. I don't care if you don't get it. I think we should be able to open back up now that everyone who wants it has had a chance to get it. What I will not accept is retarded misinformation about the shot. Just say you don't fricking want it and be done with it. You don't have to pretend it's killing people by the thousands, just say you aren't getting it.
Just because there are incentives being offered to get it doesn't mean it's some kind of secret conspiracy. If a medical breakthrough were effective and safe, why wouldn't there be a push to use it?

There was some poll discussed on Bill Maher recently where Democrats polled had way overinflated ideas about the % of people who are put in hospitals and killed by Covid.
There are probably similar type numbers for Republicans and the vaccine.

This is what is so hilarious about the whole thing.
When Trump was talking about the vaccine back in September and October, republicans were so excited to get it and democrats were talking about not trusting it.
Now with Biden in office, the mindsets from both groups has taken a complete 180 as if the vaccine magically changed once the transition of power occurred.
People are stupid.

At one pont the left was filled with vaccine skeptics because Trump was pushing them so hard and having a vaccine before the election would make him look good. Just look at what some were saying...

4000 doesn’t seem like a lot, but if your mom is one of them, it makes you a lot more reluctant to run and get the shots. Age 70, normal weight, typical elderly people problems like mild high BP.
Also, the disease itself only kills a small percentage of those infected. If Ebola were going around, spreading like wildfire, and there was a vaccine, it would make more sense to take the risk.
