Kids excuse, get settled with a woman and figure there is no reason to keep up appearance, tired from work, etc.

Have had many days where I wanted to get off work and just lay on the couch and pass out. But if I do that, my abs will turn to flabs.

People are weak minded and lazy. They want results, but don't want to put in the work. This is not unique to weight, its their job, relationships, etc. Being great is hard and people don't want to do it. It's sad and unproductive, welcome to how we got to 2020

I generally notice the majority of overweight people as the ones who drink soda all day. (Or lots of beer).

See I wouldn’t classify this as extremely large. I was more talking about the 6 foot 275 guy

I started walking & was doing at least a mile but typically 3 every day, then everything started closing & my routine got broken up
Download a free pedometer app on your phone. I’m walking 8 miles a day because of the motivation from mine.

Your metabolism slows as you age, but your appetite doesn’t. Be mindful of the volume and quality of the food you eat. They’re even putting sugar in some breads. Get some exercise every day if possible.

It happens. Kids and life were my excuse but thats what it is, an excuse.. I’m 6 1 and got to 260.. I’m. 44 and now sitting at 240. I work out but don’t focus on losing weight but want to get down to closer to 200.. hoping to start working towards that over the next few months. I’ve got some non weight related health issues at moment but it also doesn’t help when my cholesterol and BP are perfect.. my heart is in tip top shape so it just gives me more reasons to not focus on losing the weight

Myth, your metabolism slows like 20 calories a decade research has shown. Take one less bite every 10 years and all is equal.

In reality, people move less as they age and don't realize it.

We're all going to die, the choice really is between:
1.) Spend the next 30 years with good food and drink.
2.) Spend the next 42 years choking down rabbit food.

One sounds enjoyable the other sounds miserable. I certainly have no problem if you want to self-flagellate.
