If a kid is disabled and gets SSI, he may also get Medicaid.

She and the baby may very well qualify. If she’s only working 2 days a week, she may not have health insurance. She may not qualify after she’s discharged from post-natal care, but I think the kid may still be entitled.

Well, actually, you won’t because the Medicaid agency isn’t going to send you a copy of the report.
You may not realize this, but people call
these agencies ALL THE TIME to report “fraud”. While some cases are legit, the majority are nuisance calls where “somebody wants to get their ex or their buddy’s ex or there baby-daddy’s other baby-mama in trouble”.
As another poster suggested, maybe comically because he called you a “narc”, the best thing to do in these situations is to mind your own f’in business. You don’t know this woman or the totality of her circumstances- you just know what your buddy told you.
Maybe she is trash and a thief and defrauding Medicaid - but maybe your buddy is just an a-hole using you to harass her.
