I’m at an work conference in Nashville. Apparently everyone at my table got the message at the same time because we all looked down at our phones and then back up at each other with shocked faces.

Was driving back to work after getting a haircut and heard "Electric Funeral" and "Crazy Train" on WWOZ of all places. Said to myself, that's weird-- well, I guessed Ozzie has died.

Yep.

Saw him in concert twice. Bark At The Moon Tour in Honolulu and The Ultimate Sin Tour with a young Metallica in Charleston, WV. Good times

Saw him in Virginia while i was in the military, Ozzie and Alice in Chains in the early 1990's. I have to say Ozzy was a great performer and cursed like a sailor between songs and I loved every second of it. RIP Ozzy.

He suffered a lot after that four wheeler accident that damn near killed him, probably moreso than the public realizes. For a recovering addict to have that kind of neck injury and pain it had to be a hell it a balancing act to manage.

He was just recently in rehab.

Was still battling those demons.

What's the story here? Did he really piss in the Alamo? Was he super high or something?

Saw him at the State Fairgrounds with BOC, Vandenburg, and Louisiana Leroux back in the early 80’s. Jake E Lee played with him at that point. It was soon after Randy died. TBH, he was hammered, and did an okay job, but BOC stole the show with the fire breathing Godzilla and all. Great show all the way round though. I wore out Diary of a madman.

One of the first albums I was able to buy myself was an Ozzy album.

Without him, I don't find metal.

RIP

No, He got drunk, put on one of his wife’s dresses and pissed on a memorial statue across the street from the Alamo.

My favorite Ozzy album is actually Tribute, the live album with Randy at their early 80’s peak. That was one hell of a concert band.

This and Jerry Lee Lewis Live from the Star Club are two of the best live albums ever made.

Man, this was a tough one for me. My dad passed away last year and was a huge Ozzy fan. I played See You on the Other Side on the way to the cemetery after his funeral.

Ozzy lived a hell of a life.

I saw him back in the early '80's in Tad Gormley stadium for an outdoor kind of Day of Rock with LeRoux, Loverboy and Foreigner

I was at that show as a young lad, borderline too young to be there. My cousin was really into him and wanted to go so my uncle took all the kids. I remember someone passing my uncle a joint and he was trying to be cool but also wave the guy off without us noticing. I had no idea what it was but I knew it wasn’t a cigarette. RIP to Uncle Mike as well.

Eagle 98.1 Baton Rouge is playing all Ozzy right now in remembrance.

I know it’s kind of old school to listen to radio these days but there is a live audio stream of it

Eagle 98.1

Happened when I was a youngster. He returned later and gave the Alamo overseers a 10k check and put on performances 2 nights running.
