In the folk music error, they were pretty good. Ala Martin & Lewis comedians. TV show was can’t miss. R.I.P.

Sad thing is half the young turds here don't know who either Tom Smothers OR Johnny Carson were.

The greatness of their show came from their guests and young writers

I saw Bob Costas interview the bros & they briefly mentioned their father. Dick described him by saying "He was a tarheel!" in a mock Carolina accent

In the mid 90's the Baton Rouge Symphony had a concert, and the Smothers Brothers were guest entertainers. I was in the percussion section and got to trade 8's on drum set with a wildly tapping dancing Tom Smothers
Pretty cool memory.

Great show but CBS couldn't handle the political mischievous.

Their show introduced a lot of fresh talent: Steve Martin, Pat Paulsen, Harry Nilsson, Mason Williams and don't forget "Share a Little Tea with Goldie."

Grew up in the 70s listening to Smothers brothers records in my dad's collection. Helped develop my sense of humor in many ways.
RIP Tom. You had a great life

I bet he'd take being called some bullshite by a ignorant dolt as a compliment.
Their show wasn't cancelled because the ratings were low. They were very popular. They just made fun of the wrong people and poked the bear too often
