not so much in agreement with you on that one.
Lol probably not. Just seems like another nick-nack that'll break or be uncharged every time you go to use it.

It returns to the charger when it in use

Does it go over rugs? I have a pretty thick rug in my living room. Tile to rug is the question. Thanks

Unless you've got 1970s shag, you'll be fine.

I'm so sorry for giving you bad info. My wife just told me that it was the Neato that we had the issues with, not the Roomba.

What model do you have? Is the 680 good enough? There's one model that is $800. F that

technologically, I find it to be a damn fascinating device...it really does have some features that I could see being used in other industries.
from the actual cleaning perspective, I find that it is a decent sweeper for light dust, etc. but not much more than that. I can't see how it would possibly be effective in a house where there were shedding pets or anyone who tracks in moderate dirt.

I have the Roomba 650 and it was well worth the $325. Mainly bought it to deal with light dog hair shedding on dark wood floors.
ETA: It doesnt have any trouble transitioning from the wood floor to carpet in my bedrooms. Even has advantage of being able to clean under the bed where normal vacuum wouldn't be able to reach

Bought the wife (no pics) the 880 when on sale at BB for $499

Neato is much better for technical reasons. The brush is in front of and extends beyond the wheels. It's squared front allows it to get in corners and along the walls better. It cleans methodically rather than randomly. Although Roomba's newest version finally has this.

Bought a neato bot vac a couple of years ago. First year it worked fine but it is slowly deteriorating. Keeps getting error messages and other things. I only run it once a week. I don't know if I would get another one unless the durability has increased
