How about the car swerved to miss the other cars blocking every lane of the interstate. The driver took the path of least resistance, and that just so happened to be those two people.
Oh well.

From the article:
They have done this for 19 days straight? How about not letting them obstruct the roadway? And it’s not a “closure” of the road. That would be something like a construction related closure. This is a criminal act that is obstructing a highway. And that will be the drivers legal defense. They were in the commission of a crime and were injured during that commission. Pretty sure he will walk criminally and civilly unless he does something stupid like makes a statement.
quote:
Mead said at the press conference that protesters had shut down the interstate for 19 days in a row. He emphasized that the freeway is “simply not a safe place” for pedestrians, and said he hoped protesters would cease what he termed “unlawful behavior” in blocking the interstate. “My hope is, as a result of this tragedy, protesters will reconsider their desire to be on the interstate because I cannot guarantee their safety, plain and simple,” Mead said.

Car- 1
Protesters-0
frick em. I wish people who block highways to (illegally protest) would get run over more often. They deserve everything they get.
Yes, including death.

The Dem leaders running these towns WANT this to happen.
Allowing idiots dressed in black to block the only open lane on an interstate that's not well lit? Yeah, that's begging for something like this.
They got it. Now the LCD and their MSM can make these idiots into martyrs.

frick these protesters....but
If the guy went up the ramp the wrong way, he intentionally ran people over.

but Mead said the unnamed man faced multiple felony charges and was suspected to have come on the wrong way on a ramp.

... “hmm, if we’re crazy enough to stand in the freeway - could there people other people crazy enough to drive through us?” Let’s test the situation...

Protest in front of city hall or the PD HQ not the freeway.
Posted on 7/4/20 at 9:29 am to DustyDinkleman
Man, that's horrible.
Praying that the damage to the front of that car don't cost too much. Hope he didn't break the windshield.

What sucks now is those useless fricks are probably going to sue the city for "letting this happen", because the police "should have been there protecting their right to protest".
I am hating this bullshite by the media, "a protest-related closing" of the fricking interstate? Did they have a permit? You know, the one and only thing that would allow them to protest in the road like that? Let's not forget that rarely, if ever, is a permit issued to block a major roadway or interstate for a protest. And they were "allowed" to do this for how many nights?
That useless count of mayor in that city needs to be recalled and thrown in prison.

Typical libs. Break the law by blocking a highway, the authorities do nothing about that, but someone hits the shitbags the police are right there and everyone is shocked it happened

No they were dumb to do this right after a curve where there are blind spots. It was a matter of when someone was going to get hurt with where they positioned themselves. Sorry by physics always wins.
