It's most likely an Anal Fissure.

Like all have said, go get it checked. But, bright red streaks are the tell tale.

You'll likely be completely fine and feel foolish (but shouldn't).

Red and bright...you likely have an anal fissure. I bet you eat like a college kid and don't go regularly.

Heed my words, take care of this right now, eat more fiber, and try to start taking shits every day, at the same time daily. Start benefiter and clean up your diet.

If you aren't proactive, it will get worse and will hurt horribly.

Legit lifestyle change for me.

If it's bright red blood, you don't have to worry just an anal fissure, which is a small tear. I've had them periodically for years even in my 20s. As I've gotten older and eat more fiber it's been much better.

I will give you my honest opinion on what you should do. I was having blood streaked stool at age 44 and I went to the doctor and had a colonoscopy. I had a .9mm pop that was precancerous and he said if I had waited much longer I would have had colon cancer. You need to see a doctor.

If it's bright red, it's a hemorrhoid or you scratched too hard. Don't even worry about it.

If it's dark, it's internal, and you need to see a doctor.
