It's scary to see a tornado chaser right around the corner from your house, hope my house and my pups are ok

Lafayette is about to hit hard with big cell. I always worry about downbursts. We get those in Austin a lot in the spring

Bad road network, lots of trees, usually the tornadoes are wrapped in a thunderstorm and are harder to see.

Also many areas are very hilly. A rain-wrapped tornado in a densely wooded & hilly area with curvy roads is a lot harder to visually track than one on the flat plains of N. Texas/OK/KS.

Yes. That's what I was referring to earlier. It's going to impact Carencro, Lafayette, Fordoche, and eventually Mix, Erwinville, New Roads, and St. Francisville.

I think it'll fill in a little to the south and clip metro BR as well, but I agree I'd be more worried toward St. Francisville.

I think the cell over Donaldsonville may get warned soon. Moving east towards Gonzales and Prarieville.

edit: It's been warned. Gonzales and southern AP...take shelter now. AP looks like it will get hit twice today.
