I guess you would know better than I, but I thought Moldova had really, really close ties to Russia - almost a client state. I would think Poland or Romania would be a safer option. Just wondering though.

Cool, have at me. Not gonna bother me at all I promise.

The important outcome here is not leaving children in an active war zone.

It was posted to get a response and I’ve reached out to see if I can help.

Whether you like my analysis or not is unimportant, just as it would be if someone didn’t like me trying to help a child who was being abused. And make no mistake that’s exactly what his wife is doing.

God did not start this war and God will not end it. God gave us free will and we will all have to answer for our actions at the end.

This war ranks pretty low on the current list of world problems anyways. It would be pretty cool if the world would unite around fighting hunger. 25,000 people die every day from starvation, but frick those people they do not bring in media ratings.

Let us all wave our Ukraine flags #WeAreWithUKraine #frickOffStarvingPeople

This is an absolutely crazy assertion.

I'm not trying to fight with you on this. I'm just letting you know.

I'm praying for your family. I'm seeing reports that Lisichansk is getting hammered tonight with several attacks including one on a TV tower similar to Kyiv yesterday. We might be seeing more Lisichansk reports as the sun comes up local time.

It might seem like some are just being critical of your past decisions. Digest it and use it to fuel your next decision. Your conscious is the only thing you need to listen to. Don't drive yourself crazy about thinking what you could have done. You know what you have to do. So, give it your best shot until you can look back and say you might have made mistakes, but you corrected those mistakes by doing everything you can possibly do now. Godspeed

I wish you all the best but wow I don’t see how you can make it to Lisichansk safely. Your medical issues tell me you need to stay put. Sending prayers to all the good people of Ukraine.

I have to say that I agree with Kramer. You trying to get to Ukraine right now would be an emotional—not a rational—decision.

Your best best to rescue them is probably trying to get in touch with some ex-military types who might try to extract them and get them to safety. I say this as someone who has absolutely zero knowledge of how that might work. I’m sure it would be incredibly expensive, and I don’t know if you have the necessary contacts and resources to do it, but it seems like such a mission might be worth looking into.

Also, ignore the armchair quarterbacks. It’s easy to say what one would’ve done in your situation, but you are the only one who was actually in that situation and had to make a brutally difficult decision. Your decision made sense at the time. Hindsight is always 20/20.

God bless you and your family. My prayers are with you.

I noticed how you aggressively changed the word ‘god’ in my post to ‘God’…….. how important would you say it is to press the shift key on the keyboard while typing the ‘word ‘god’.. becuase it seems like that ranks EXTREMELY high up on your list of priorities… Would you say that I’ll be doomed to H-E-double hockey sticks if i forget, or neglect to hit the shift key while typing that word ?

More so than the person who felt the need to correct my capitalization, so as not to make “god” upset ?? Gotcha .

I don't want to turn this thread into a debate on religion, but I will give you my thoughts on this question.

The serpent told Adam and Eve that if they ate from the tree of knowledge that they wouldn't need God. Man challenged God's right to be their King. Since then God has allowed man to rule himself. The results of that are plain to see, including wars. Man has failed at ruling himself and one day God will come back and establish his Kingdom. God will not allow this wickedness to go on forever. That is the theme of the Bible in a nutshell.

I don't necessarily believe God will prevent my death or that of my family. Death is something we all must face. I do believe he can give me strength and courage. I believe he can give me the ability to endure. God also promises to give everlasting life to the righteous. Dying now does not mean I will not live again, same applies to my family.

I actually don't know anything about Moldova. I was just looking at a map. Poland might be the best way in, but it is a long way to Lisichansk from there. I believe there are some trains running, so I will have to find out which ones and start from there.

I appreciate the post. I decided tonight I'm not going to let any of the negative post bring me down. If they think bashing me is helping in anyway that is on them. If it makes them feel that they are better than me, that is on them as well.
My wife and I made bad decisions. I'm not hiding that. I'm sure the people that died or were on their roof tops during Katrina regretted their decisions. I have also seen people leave because a hurricane was coming only to regret their decision to leave. Hindsight is easy, correct?
Bashing me at this moment is incredibly uncompassionate and a bit self righteous. I'm not going to let it discourage me though.
Tide for his part has reached out by email and offered to help. He has a funny way of approaching it, but I give him credit for the offer. I have also had other reach out by email to offer encouragement. Much appreciated. I will get my family back.

I have not been able to get a hold of my wife today. I'm assuming that communications have been caught off in Lisichansk. This is one of my fears when the war started. This will certainly make it harder to get to them and raise my anxiety since I can't check on them now.

I have been staying strong but I have my moments. I saw a photo of a baby in an apartment window with the pacifier in her mouth somewhere in Ukraine. She looked similar to my baby and that choked me up. My Mother is close to my daughter and has her moments as well. Not being able to call them has made this day harder.

One of my concerns is that Putin will change his tactics if his army continues to stall. He will surround the city, bomb it and choke off its supplies until they surrender. The civilian suffering and death would be unthinkable in that situation. I am referring to the bigger cities when I say this, not necessarily Lisichansk.

Omnicrom is also starting to peak in Ukraine. The shelters and crowded refugee situation will make it spread. I can't imagine having covid under the conditions they are living in.

I will try to post a few photos later and update if I can get a hold of my wife or her parents.

I wouldn’t worry about the Omicron too much. I’m pretty sure I had it back in January, and it was super mild. The cough lasted only one day. Omicron is a far cry from Delta.
