You don't need this board to tell you that you contact anyone and everyone you think can be of any help at all to get your wife and kid safely out or at least to safety.
Wish all the best for them and all of you
ETA: in today's social media dictated world, the right tweet or post could work wonders (or hinder if taken wrongly by someone in position of doing something).

What makes you think it is a troll?

Piss off. Some of us have been talking to this guy about his Wife before the War even started. Absolutely nothing about this spells troll. Now you on the other hand...

Because he is simple minded.
I emailed my congressman and they contacted me twice within a hour.
They can't get her son in as of now, but they might be able to help me in other ways. I'm glad I emailed. Good call guys.

I have posted my email before RSeeling31@yahoo.com
I have videos of the bomb that hit in her backyard and of my baby in the shelter that her father took. They're not very interesting compared to the media but if you want to see them. Just email me and I will forward them to you.

If you are bored go play with yourself. You are probably gonna need some tweezers.
And if you can’t grab it with tweezers go frick yourself on a cypress knee.

UPDATE: 3/20/22
I'm having very little contact with my wife. I have been able to message with her sister, Lisa in Russia. Lisa tells me that most of the fighting in her city has been across the river. She said they have food and water but they are tired and scared.
Lisa is part of a message board where she gets information about Lisichansk. She is hearing that things will get worse for Lisichansk in the next day or two.
I worry that the hospital is not safe. You hear rumors of hospitals being targeted. I worry soldiers will enter the hospital. Right now they are fairly safe but we know things can change in an instance.

Continued prayers for their safety and evacuation and for your spirits to remain optimistic

Just checking in. Any update the last couple days?
Posted on 3/22/22 at 3:25 pm to sportsaddit68
UPDATE:Contact has been slow the last couple of days. Lisa her sister told me they were under heavy fighting and the water was not working. You can imagine what goes through my mind at night as the insomnia sets in.
I did however make contact with my wife this morning as the internet was back on. We were able to video call through Whatsapp. They are in good spirits and the water is restored. She told me there are plenty of Ukrainian soldiers there and they are receiving treatment at the hospital for their wounds but not in her area, which is a maternity area.
I saw my daughter standing and saying Papa. We knew before the war I would miss these things and I hate it. Our plan was for me to leave in Feb. and return in June, so I knew we would be apart for 4 months. This is not unusual for my marriage, part of having a foreign wife. I sure hated the thought of being away from the baby though, and I find it hard to see her in the video calls. I have to stay strong for the wife though and keep reassuring her that it will be okay.
I have been receiving calls from the state department. I talked to them one hour last night. We discuss things like me getting to my family, which country they should evacuate to, what to do with her step son once they get out. Unfortunately the situation is so fluid and the individual encounters they might have are unpredictable so they were not full of advice or information. They tell me not to try to go to Russia and it would be better if they evacuate to Poland and they can perhaps help once they are out.
I contacted a group called save our allies that actually help get people out of combat zones. I will see what comes of that. If they know how to get to her city and get her out, I will go with them.

The state department also told me that every day they get information of an American killed or detained.

I wonder how long they'll keep that out of the mainstream media so they can't beat the drums of war even louder?
Good to hear you got to talk to them recently. I can't imagine what it must be like knowing your family is in that situation with no way of knowing what's going on.

Yes, I really climb the walls when I have no contact. It always eases my mind when I see they are okay.
When the state department told me every day they get a report of an American dead or detained, I believe that also includes Americans that went there to fight. They were trying to discourage me from going there.
Its all just surreal. These people were living just normal lives, working, school, going to the groceries, shopping, eating at the cafe. They were not involved in politics. They were just trying to survive in a poor country. Now they are having their lives torn apart, houses destroyed, cities destroyed, jobs lost, loss of life or injuries. I was just there hanging out with them in cafe's or beer bars. The worse thing is my wife and daughter are still there and I am here.

It wasn't clear to you, but to all the posters on here who were screaming get her and get out it was.
I genuinely hope everything works out for you and your family.

Your wife chose to be there and to keep her daughter with her. And her son. And her parents.
You went into a marriage knowing her love of her homeland and her complex family.
You must have known, up front, the kind of expenses you could see in your future. She has your credit cards to use as she sees necessary.
In her universe you have a place, but it's not a major part of the picture. Adding you to her world increased her escape possibilities if things were to go wrong. She, according to you, never thought that would happen.
Good luck with becoming a more important part of her world, you owe that to your daughter.

ugh, I refrained from posting in this thread, and truly pray for you and your wife and you/her family to be reunited
But how on God's name can you be surprised by this? the likelihood if not certainty of war was obvious.
Again I hope your family is miraculously spared.
but this was avoidable for a few , millions did not have a choice

I understand this, but getting her out was not an option. Literally everyone I talked to Ukraine about a pending war would laugh and tell me that it will never happen. There was no way I was going to convince my wife to leave in case everyone she knows is wrong.
The only option I had was to stay with them or leave. If I knew for sure Russia would invade, I wouldn't have left. Now I have to figure out how to get to them or get them out. There is a good chance they will get out through Russia, that would not be an option if I was there. My emotions are very strong as you can imagine, but I have to focus what is going to help them and not my emotions.

I'm not surprised. I didn't think Putin was that dumb but I knew it wasn't out of the realms of possibilities. It's just surreal in the sense that it goes from a peaceful place to what it is now.
