I think he made the threat about GETTING a gun and causing trouble. That's enough. A knife attack threat is also enough IMO.
Either way, his/her work should be notified too. Just so he can't come in and cause trouble (for her or everyone).

I’m having trouble with this. They presumably worked together today, all the while she knows she’s dropping the bomb tonight. Probably went braless today and likely pecked at her keyboard a little more bitchy than usual. In fact, she probably had this planned all week and held off until today for entertainment.
