KA's and sigma Chi's have mandatory hair tests next semester and if you refuse you are kicked out, LSU advised the national chapters for the two frats that are on probation after the sigma chi overdosed

This is the dumbest statement I've seen in a while... I lived in Los Angeles and bad batches of heroin would go through skid row and take the lives of many people. Don't know where you got your info, but it's wrong.
Nope. Pure heroin overdoses are exceedingly rare.

Anyone care to give a 3-5 sentence cliff notes on the situation? I see heroin stats bei debated. Assuming they had some junkies ?

Bye Barf.
Did you actually read this? Or did you just link the first one that fit your narrative?

Xanax is the real gateway drug, shite is going around like candy on college campuses. Idiots mix that with drinking and then start mixing just about anything they can get their hands on with drinking.

Many kids are coming out of Rummel, Belle Chase, BM, North Shore, St Pauls, Destrahan, Mandeville, Higgins
Many of these kids are basically junkies long before they get to college. Their drugs are those prescribed by their psychiatrist when they were infants - ritalin, adderall, etc. Their bodies just adjust when they "step up" to the illegal, nonprescribed drugs they can easily get on college campuses -- hell, even on their high school campuses.

If it's sold on the streets, it's not pure.

Your challenge was:
The study I linked does just that.

I have long had a theory about this. Tons of kids from 27 and under was prescribed pills like they were nothing when they were very long, I was given Ritalin in second grade. It creates if it comes from a doctor than its cool attitude. Plus once you get to college you are the cool kid on the block if you got fresh adderall bottle.
If look at how bad Xanax and OxyContin took over college campuses it's not really all that surprising.
I have no proof, I would love to see a real study of the connection

True. This is part of the reason habitual users push large amounts of the drug.
The kink in the argument is street level dope requires an unbelievably high amount to kill you. It is almost never just street level heroin that causes death. I'm not saying it does not happen , or can't happen, only that is very very rare. There is almost always another component involved in the toxicity. So to say that lots of people die from heroin is a bit of a misnomer. Sure, they were using heroin when they died, but what else were they using?

Not sure how much to post, but..

After this event, a proposal was made to the entire chapter that every member submit to mandatory drug testing by the Fraternity. This proposal was jointly made by a small group of actives in consultation with some Alumni. At a Chapter Meeting held last week the Chapter rejected the proposal 68-10.
The letter attached below was received today from National. It suspends anyone who voted against the proposal and anyone that did not attend the meeting.

Sort of, but not entirely. It fits your narrative but supplies zero medical proof. Opinion only.

the chapter tragically lost a brother approximately 2 weeks ago to a drug overdose. After the death, the Chapter Executive Committee reviewed tapes from within the house and found evidence of drug use in the library by 6 actives. These actives were expelled from the Fraternity.

I really hate when people demand proof but also provide none.
Why don't you crack an egg of knowledge on us?

LOL, a peer reviewed study with over 280 experts. Nice crawfish.

That is ballsy, those doors don't even lock. Just go into one of the rooms on the 1st floor like a responsible adult.

It's not all that different than saying god doesn't exist. I'm trying to argue with a belief system. No amount of facts or fancy science terminology will change any minds.
The best I can offer is Dr. Carl Hart if you feel like sitting through his videos.
Social acceptance of alcohol clouds the facts around other drugs. There is room for debate but to say that heroin/crack/coke/meth is any better or worse than booze is silly.
Alcohol and benzos are the only ones where death is a real possibility from the withdraws.
How can drug A be worse than drug B when drug B withdrawals can kill you? It makes no sense.
