Was not a Greek but don't think KA should have to end Old South. Did they need to maybe tone some things down, probably but to totally get rid of it is complete BS.

The First Amendment prohibits (some) government limits on speech.
KA National made this rule. It is not government. It is a private organization, like Piggly Wiggly, the Country Club, or First Baptist Church. It is not required to allow free speech to its members.
When the government forbids the party title, then you can call the ACLU and ask them to try to enforce your First Amendment rights.

So...which is it? Did Lee make a huge and obvious error in trying to invade Pennsylvania, or were the South's generals the smart ones? This is a ridiculous sentiment. The first president of LSU, William Tecumseh Sherman was probably the greatest American general of all time, and certainly in the upper echelons of all time global military minds. The South was doomed because "we" were a backwards, less technologically advanced slack water that was fighting to maintain a centuries long genocide. Sherman hastened the end of the war, but even if he had caught a stray bullet early on the South would have lost eventually. Lee made several errors, and generally speaking, the southern officer class was pretty worthless when it came to getting their hands dirty because they had relied on slave labor to avoid having to do anything meaningful with their lives up to that point.

Article is slightly inaccurate because I was in KA at LSU and we never wore confederate uniforms, nor did we care to. Our organization stood for chivalry and honor. I learned a lot about being a well mannered and self sufficient individual there. Changing a name doesn't do anything you PC police imbeciles. This country needs to grow the hell up.
On the other hand, it's just a name and Convivium was more fun as a party anyway IMO.

They didn't get rid of it. They just changed the name to Rose Ball.

Obviously as a KA, I think it was a pussy move by nationals, but I really don't that much. I did send nationals an email with the suggestion of calling it politically incorrect week. They did not approve the suggestion.
