I’m going to go out on a limb and ask a question:
On a scale from 1-10 plus Spinal Tap 11, how dickish was your tone of voice when you “pointed out” that they don’t accept originals?

SS office has been doing this all through Covid. They told the same thing to someone I know who got married last year and wanted to change her name.

i'm usually pretty nice when trying to get someone to do something for me. however, if she was listening closely, she may have been able to recognize slight derision in my voice, when i pointed out that what she was asking was contrary to common sense and the clear instructions from her mothership. that may have been why she inadvertently hung up on me

Well, the SS office lady isn't there this week. She is in DC interviewing for a job at the USSC.

Dropped my employer provided medical on 12/1/21 and got on Medicare. Retired 1/1/22 and started drawing SS 2/1/22, then discovered in February that they (SSA) still had my old work group medical as my primary and Medicare as my secondary coverage. Took till last week and several phone calls to get it corrected. SSA = Clown Show.

Ok, now that sounds more likely than someone hanging up on you simply for politely pointing out what their policy is

I have one question….we’re you acting like an assclown when you pointed this out to her? If so, enjoy your lifetime social security earnings of $0.

i have to admit i am a bit pasty, but i'm not frail. i also know which side of my bread the butter is on, and i know who places it there. and she's not my wife. if by dominated you mean that when it's my turn to pick where we eat, she rejects all my choices, then yes, i guess am completely dominated.

that is where she encountered the private security guard with the dropbox telling her to leave all her original id's. that office was dark and empty. the person who hung up on me was at the harding branch.
