I’m not even a man of faith and I won’t do it. Because you aren’t going to pressure me into endorsing something I don’t find normal.

Everything might come at a cost, depending on the circumstances. Being openly gay routinely gets people fired from teaching positions at Christian schools. People have preferences. If you violate the preferences of those in power, sometimes you get a bad shake. But once again, Christians are the overwhelming majority of holders of power in this country. To act like Christians are routinely discriminated against is fiction.

Just went back and double checked my post history, to make sure I hadn't had more wine with dinner than I thought I had.

Are you having a stroke or something?

ETA: Just checked your post history from tonight. Are you confusing me with Zappas Stache or some shite?

If this is your biggest takeaway from this story then you're the problem with the direction we're headed in

It was my takeaway from the OP, which I've now posted something like three different times.

Well good for them. Now don’t get me wrong…I think politics has no place whatsoever in sports. However, cappernick got black balled forever because of the blm shite and now they want to force players to wear a political sign on their uniforms? The NFL needs to make up their minds. Either they allow their games to be used as a political platform or they don’t…but they can’t decide based on political causes.

Has there been any backlash to their decision?

Because if not (or very little) this is a complete non-issue for both sides.

Again, the majority of this country is Christian. The overwhelming majority of people who hold positions of power in government in this country are Christian.
Checking a box on a survey does not make you a Christian. The majority of Americans call themselves Christians, but the majority of that majority are as lost as a goat in a snowstorm. They may claim to know Jesus, but the real question is does Jesus know them? The evidence of salvation is a changed life, and I'm not seeing much of that in the vast majority of Americans.

I am not religious in the slightest, but if my company tried to force me to support pride anything, I wouldn’t. Forcing something doesn’t really help.

You need Jesus and the Holy Spirit in your life immediately. Today is Pentecost and the perfect day for it.

The Tampa Bay RAYS are not in the NFL.

Just say “I am a gigantic liberal pussy” and everyone would know where you stand. The fact that your “faith” is probably based in global warming and other liberal orthodoxy let’s us know that you are a fricking idiot.

Being diametrically opposed to the core values of your workplace might get you fired? That's the analogy you want to go with here? Did they miss the widely known core tents of Christianity when they sought to work at a Christian school?

This isn't true in any meaningful sense. By way of example, feel free to note how the "holders of power" are treating Pride.

Define discrimination here. In the workplace? In social settings? In the former, it's probably relatively rare, although self-censorship plays a big role. But you've got to be intentionally obtuse to not notice the ire drawn to people who even mildly buck the prevailing trends. Take someone like Chris Pratt, who probably isn't even an orthodox Christian, and the "controversy" drummed up relating to him. If you don't want to call stuff like that discrimination, ok. But do you honestly think Pratt could start tweeting about men being men and women being women (which were in any reasonable age amazingly vanilla views) and it not result in some sort of industry response?

I would have just said "No, I'm not wearing it."

No need to hide behind religion.
