Should a coach for 6 yr olds be getting that fired up in the first place?

I sometimes attend practices and don't miss a game. I've heard Tycoon (we'll call him that for this) utter the phrase "God damn it" at least twice each practice I've been too.

Do you let the 6 year old pee with the seat up or down?

You should ask the coach to watch his language around the kids.
This isn't a hard question.
If he doesn't change anything, then you have a dilemma.

This right here

Idk, about this. OP doesn't sound like the kind of guy that can hand out an arse whipping if coach doesn't see eye to eye with him.

May end up getting his arse whipped in front of his kid while coach screams god dammit at the top of his lungs.

You could be right .....maybe it's time for the OP to see if he has game.

My issue is not the language but the fact that he gets so annoyed coaching 6yo boys basketball that he has to curse. If you as a coach get supremely angry at 6yo boys that are learning to play the game you should not be out there coaching.

Guess you've never seen Nick Saban coach kids at a summer camp

My question is, what should I do (if anything)? I don't want to start a rift with the team - they're on a four game winning-streak. But I don't want my boy around that.
if a winning streak matters to you, encourage more cussing.

Explain to your son that he should listen to his coach but that his coach is trash for cussing around six year olds and is not someone to look up to.

Then find the coach's kid and teach him how to smoke crack.

I am by no means super aggressive/bad arse guy or dad, but if this happened, I would like to think I'd immediately say something in the middle of practice right as it happens. Maybe not yell or anything like that in front of everyone, but I'd most certainly like to think I'd be heading in his direction to quietly mention he won't be saying that again in front of my kid.

This isn't about whether your kid has heard worse or blah blah blah..he's a leader of 6 year old kids, that language is completely inappropriate in that context, I can't even see how anyone would disagree. It's not the biggest deal in the world, but it certainly should be called out immediately upon happening.

Ohhhhhh, in that case, don't say anything, you don't want to ruin a good thing!!!
