the dad was a big time player. I ask where he played (thinking it must be pro or at least SEC ball)... she said Ausin Peay
I mean that's D1, you gotta be pretty damn good to get there

Do exactly what Randy did in South Park.

Don’t take advice from these losers. First off, is your kid on the best team in the region? You want him winning at least 10 tournament World Series his first couple of seasons. Don’t let losers hold him back. Second, have you worked on your look yet? Don’t embarrass your kid by showing at games looking like a dandy. Third, you must establish your (and his) alpha male dominance. Pick a fight with his coach or another parent. Good luck.

Did he win? Hit a HR with a bat flip? Ride the bench?

I have a hitting coach if needed. He is $350 an hour but my boy Maverick is batting .425 with 12 dingers. Kid can rake. Already had some Yankees scouts looking at him

another travel ball myth
So stupid how many old people don't realize it's not 1992 little league anymore.
I was one of the deniers and thought it was too young with my first kid, I was wrong.
My oldest plays little league and 95% of the league is absolutely horrible and this is south lake charles which is one of the best leagues. He is 11 and playing in the 11-12 majors.....I have a 9 year old that's pretty good and 8 of the 11 players on his 9 year old team would be the best player in little league.
If you think a 13 year old not playing travel isn't gonna be far behind you are the delusional one. Lucky if even 1 little league exclusive kid per league makes a high school team per year.
It's so funny the old guys not having a clue.

Yes - try to persuade your son to man up and play a real sport.

He only batted once. Got a hit. Helped his confidence. Unfortunately there were no fights.

Whatever happens in the games, tell him on the way home "I love watching you play"
that's the worst advice i've ever heard.
Why?
