I’m convinced you don’t even know what you’re saying so how are we supposed to figure it out.

Every law is dictating morality

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew a you.”
I doubt the Heavenly Father is sitting up there going “Well, that baby is IVF so I don’t really have a plan for it.”
It’s like saying curing cancer or having a lifesaving surgery is unnatural and a sin because it goes against God’s will.

I sin every day, multiple times a day, I am not better than you.
Pretty tough to have discussions of morality without coming across as critical or judgmental because one side will always come from a perspective of feeling attacked. I try to use language to avoid that, but I’m not sure it’s avoidable, especially when most people’s perspectives are shaped by their personal experiences making it seem like someone critical of an issue is critical of the person
most times I try to avoid putting my political or religious beliefs on here at all.

Know why Baptist don't have sex standing up?

My grandparents were southern Baptist and I have a good friend that is
They talk about the craziest shite. They are taught the rapture is coming at any day so anytime something bad happens in the world… rapture is coming.
They also loved the cherry pick narratives in the Bible. Time for them to get in the 21st-century

When you get into adopting personal interpretations of scripture as doctrine, you lose congregation members and push people away from Christianity. As Christians, we should be unapologetic in absolute truths- Jesus died for your sins and directed us to love others. God speaks to us directly-some people call that your conscience. Some things don’t require an executive decision from flawed men.

IVF clinics aren't going to destroy your embryos without your consent. You can donate them if you would like. An IFV procedure involves one embryo at a time. I've also never heard of the embryo being destroyed by freezing (not to say it can't happen).
Most couples going through IFV attempted IUI first. I wonder why the SBC didn't weigh in on that?

IVF isn’t new. Few years ago it was fine and now it’s “bad”?

Think for a moment about the power to create a human life. The power of creation is sacred. Our power as humans to create a human life in the image of the Great Creator is very Holy and Divine. It's easy to see why. The power of creation is the power of God.
If the power to create life is God’s alone, then it logically follows that the power to end life also belongs to God alone. If you get cancer, please refuse medical treatment to adhere to God’s plan for you.
