Garmesch-Partenkirchen is where I would live full time if I could. Place is a fairy tale of landscapes.

Ramstien is the nicest military installation in Europe in a great area, lucky kid. Weather is starting to get nicer here where it is about 65 during the day and around freezing at night. Switzerland has nice areas but I thought Zurich was meh. May want to hold off until the Summer because Germany is still kinda full retard with Covid Restrictions at the moment. They were set to end restrictions on the 20th ,but have extended that date until the 2nd which knowing the Germans will likely extend that deadline again. The Alps are awesome in the summer and it is awesome to drive through and take in the scenery from Switzerland, France, Germany, Austria, and Italy. Some of my favorite spots in the alps are Salzburg, Innsbruck, Kufstien, Garmisch, Moena. Either rent a car or get on a train and go explore.

Have friends that live in Nuremberg.
Spent two weeks there as well as Austria .
Both are awesome.
Went to Octoberfest in Munich, it’s a don’t miss in my opinion.

Germany is a beautiful country and absolutely worth visiting. The Ramstein area is nice with rolling hills and vineyards.

I have family not from there and loved every single time that I visited.

Definitely plan on having a car. Lauterbrunnen is the spot that interests me most.

Been in Germany multiple times, a beautiful country full of history, Great beer, hot women, and good food (you haven't had a brat until you've gotten one from a street vendor in Germany).

I don't drink, so that aspect of it doesn't really interest me. A lot of people have mentioned the beer as a selling point, but that means nothing to me. Food, on the other hand...

My senior year of college I spent 2 nights in Switzerland (only place I've ever been snow skiing). They must kill all the ugly girls in the crib because I didn't see any unattractive females while I was there.

A lot of German in my family, going back to Bavaria. Maybe it's time to plan a trip to Germany, I've never been. And this thread should not have gone this long without this song being posted.

Ok so now he has a new dilemma that I'm hoping someone can help me with. He isn't married, but has a girlfriend back in Austin that he has twin daughters with. She also has a 5-year old son from a previous relationship. He just moved in to a 3-bedroom apartment near the base in Ramstein, and the plan was to bring her and the kids over. However, he's saying that in order for her son to go to school there, he'd have to adopt him, and the kid's real dad isn't willing to sign over parental rights, so there's really nothing they can do at this point. Does that sound accurate?
