Sorry I am technically handicapped. Link to her wedding announcement with photo. Leniency is warranted.

Here's my very 1st post on the hate crime topic(2nd post in the thread but 1st directly on the subject):

My argument was just against per capita.

If you take the number of people charged with hate crimes and then divide by race. White people are charged more.

I still don’t know why anyone would include people who don’t commit any crimes into that statistic.

It’s the same I feel about recruiting.

Well Louisiana has the most talent per capita. True. But if you look at the raw numbers you could divide all the recruits from Florida into the 3 Florida schools. Each of those schools would still have more nfl talent than LSU.

I know it doesn’t work out that way because players leave both states and go to other schools. But, if they all went to home state school, the Florida schools would still have more talent. Which is why I’ve always advocated that LSU has to go out of state, we can’t just rely on LA talent even though the per capita argument is used.

But what does that mean?

It means my baseline is the actual number of hate crimes, not the entire population.

You are using the entire population to say black people are arrested at a higher rate for hate crimes just because the percentage of hate crimes from them happens to be higher than their % of the population.

It’s the same argument used for black people are 5* more likely to be shot by cops. But 100% of the population isn’t committing crimes and having police interactions.

100% of the population isn’t committing hate crimes.

People like this are the reason that we can't stand united against ridiculous nonsense these days. Every time something like this happens, the insane people can just point to it and say "look how badly we're mistreated".

Being an idiot isn’t a crime, but putting your hands on others is.

I mean is that why she was arrested? I still do not understand why she was arrested. I mean if what I saw on the video was "aggressively touching" then no wonder those guys are not heterosexuals.

VERY Fair point. I tend to side ever so slightly towards the dumbass award.

But Roger said "everyone" read it the same way he did!!!

You're probably correct and we may disagree on this but even if I'm a bit off here, I don't think that changes my overriding point.

I'm surprised Roger came back to this thread after blatantly lying then me proving him wrong.

But I'm not surprised in the least that he chose to ignore my post proving him wrong instead of just manning up and conceding he lied and got caught.

Just being honest man, I still don't understand what you're saying here.

I'll ask the same question I've asked you a few times. 1st, do you think violent crimes in black people is a bigger issue than white people? I assume yes. If yes, how do you show that in data without adjusting for population given that the amount of violent crimes committed by black and white people probably doesn't show as big of a difference than the actual difference in the problem for each race?

Now maybe you don't agree with my argument as is, but I'd find that hard to believe. I just can't seem to grasp your overarching point and I'm trying to use that example to walk me through how are we to say one race has a bigger problem if we do NOT use population adjusted data?
