I ended up passing on the Ultra.
It was more like 2.5k + FXD, which was a good deal for me, but in the end the reason I never pulled the trigger on the OG Pelagos was because it was too beefy and slab sided. While the ultra improved on the slab sided-ness, it's still big AF.
I like the FXD at sub 13mm, even thought I would kill for it to have a date.

Hamilton Khaki GMT Air Race Mk1 H776950 with an ETA 2836
Late night one Scotch too many Joma purchase that I never knew why I bought it except maybe because it has 3 crowns. Over the years I have bonded with it. It has some tie in with the Red Bull air racing series and the cities used to display timezones are all cities the series stopped in that year.

Much speculation over what kind of watch the new Pope wears. Leading candidates are Wenger, Timex and Cascio.
From that picture it looks like a Samsung Galaxy watch or another smart watch.

Busy day trying to get fires put out before the long weekend.
IWC 500126 Portugieser w/ 52010 7 day automatic movement.
This is a watch made for the Tribeca Film Festival IIRC 2013. They have made multiple editions of their watches in this burgundy and gray colorway for the festival.

Seiko Turtle SRPJ35 “Tropical Lagoon”
Got a pretty solid deal as an open box piece on Amazon. After confirming it was legit I threw on a cheapo tropic strap in place of the stock bracelet.

Nice watch but the hands are too damn short.

I think it is the best colorway of any IWC. I think they have done 6 or 7 more for the TFF after that one. They are all more complicated or in PM so this one is the cheapest one of the lot. Outside of the limited editions they have done a couple of piece uniques/ There was a YG Spitfire chrono and this Monopusher Portofino:
They also did a piece unique of the one I have with RG numerals, hands and markers

What's with the downsizing trend? I'm not a big guy, and 42mm is about right for me. I wouldn't want to go below 40mm.

haha nope, I guess I don't have that kind of stroke, haven't gotten a call peddling one to me yet (but I do have something special coming and it should be here pretty soon).

Wearing my Safarnie for the first time in a while. I’ll be wearing it more often.
