I regret that I have but one downvote to give to your posts.

Sometimes, I think that first upvote is the hardest to get so ill upvote myself to break the ice.

If you have only one upvote, everyone knows you're a tool. The minimum acceptable upvote total is two. That is the only assurance that there is at least two tools on the board.

Nothing wrong with it as long as you’re not the first upvote. Being the first upvote is a bitch move.

The general consensus on TD is that it’s morally bankrupt to upvote yourself.
I’ve seen two arguments made about this.
1. It’s like voting for yourself in an election
2. If you aren’t supposed to upvote yourself, why would TD allow it?
What do you think?
We came to the conclusion years ago that it is acceptable to upvote yourself only if you have a single upvote, because it makes you look pathetic that you were the one who upvoted yourself. This has been settled through a convension.

Just my view... I'm not really seeing that you have that much worth saying.
No offense, of course.
On topic, vote or don't. Not certain it matters.

All I know is, you’re getting a downvote

Didn’t read, just came to downvote.

Self upvotes are fine. I have worse moral dilemmas to deal with.

Since I regularly say the smartest and funniest stuff on this site, why wouldn't I upvote what I say? Then it wouldn't make any sense.

I downvote any post that mentions upvote or downvote no matter the context...including this one

It’s like having sex with your sister. You don’t do it all the time but eventually everyone does it. You just don’t tell anyone about it.
