Sometimes local TV stations are notorious for not calibrating or normalizing audio levels with the network feed.
There is a federal law about audio loudness called the CALM Act, but here is the catch it only affects traditional TV broadcasts and doesn’t affect streaming platforms. So if you were watching on ESPN plus they could still put the audio as loud as they want for the commercials.
