In response to the incident, the District's Superintendent Carl Easley said, "Only one child did not get delivered to the right address. The counselors go around on the first day of school to confirm each child's address, but the parents should teach their kids their address. Every child should know their address by the third grade."

Blaming the 8 year old kid? Seriously?

I didn't miss anything.
Kids lie. especially when they do something they weren't supposed to do. it's what most kids do.

8 years old is plenty enough to know where you're going. I don't buy the kids story, yet. I'd like to hear the bus drivers story.

No kidding. Driver is bad enough, but then the passive aggressive Superintendent talks shite about the kid?

I have an 8 year old. She knows where she lives, but getting there from school might tricky since we just moved here, but the response from the staff would have me furious.

I guess I'm glad the bus took damn near two hours after school the first day to get it right instead of dropping my daughter off 3 miles away. I live in Savannah. That shite can't fly.

This. I'd want to kill them but I doubt my wife would give me the chance before she did it herself.

I remember I use to have to walk 5 miles to school when I was six. I distinctly remember the cold winters because my parents never bought me this cool winter coat I always wanted. I finally got it for Christmas when I was 10.

ONLY ONE child did not get delivered? Does he want a medal or something?

I had to get up in the morning at ten o'clock at night, half an hour before I went to bed, drink a cup of sulfuric acid, work twenty-nine hours a day down the mill, and when we got home our Dad would kill us and dance about on our graves singing 'Hallelujah.'

But you try and tell the young people today that.. and they won't believe you.

Nope. Youngin's today have no idea what hard work is. My Paw Paw had me working the mill since 5. The only fun I had was being able to watch the sun go down. I wouldn't change my strong upbringing for anything, I tell ya.
