Flu A for me was rigors (extreme cold shaking for hours. No blankets helped), along with diarrhea, then vomiting, then fever. Every time I drank liquid, it would come out 15 minutes later. I become so dehydrated I ended up in the ER to receive an IV. I had no congestion or cough. Additionally, my at home test showed me negative the whole time. I was positive only during my ER flu test.

The medical profession is very good at pulling crap out their butts,and proclaiming it as facts.
In the 50’s Drs thought cigarettes were useful for relieving anxiety.A Dr.friend told me he was his mother’s first pregnancy and she was very anxious.She was told by her Dr. to start smoking “to calm her nerves”.
I remember when egg yolk were poison,the cholesterol in them would stop up your arteries and “KILL YOU”.
I remember when pts.in the hospital with peptic ulcers were given 1/2&1/2 every 2 hours when

I remember when Covid shots were”safe and effective” and would prevent people,from getting Covid.
I could go on for pages all the.things I was taught in nsg.school that were wrong.
Sorry,I have serious doubts that flu shots decrease severity of flu if one gets it.

Why,because I spent 35 years in the medical field and learned that Drs.and the practice of medicine have often been wrong.
Pretty stupid response,to tell the truth.
Look up Semelweiss,the father of handwashing.
Look up bloodletting to let out the bad humours,practiced for 2000 years,until about 1900.
It’s quite an advantage actually to not have blind faith in Drs.like so many lay people,with no medical people in their family.
You learn to be skeptical,of any new shiny thing or new med that comes out.
Also learn what Drs to go to and which to avoid.
I’ll clue you into something else-good bedside manners doesn’t necessarily mean a Dr.is good.
Now,go get yourself another booster for Covid.

I’ve been in hospital and had surgery.Advantage I have is I know which one’s to go to and which one’s to avoid.Unlike the poor saps that think all Drs.are like Marcus Welby.
Ex.-hospital I worked at had several Cardiologists.All the hospital employees went to or sent their family &friends to two of them.The others had plenty of pts.but it wasn’t because any hospital employees gave them referrals.
