It is lasting seven to 15 days. If this helps anyone reading this all of the usual Nyquil crap doesn't work. Tylenol doesn't even cut the headaches.
Advil and Mucinex DM. Repeat rinse repeat. Cut the Mucinex after a bit Get all the mucus out.

Brother, I felt almost dead. I remember at its worst, I had such a fever that I was pouring sweat and knew I needed to shower but I was so completely exhausted that I just laid there in my filth for a day. Literally could not stand up out of bed and make it to the bathroom.
Xofluza helped a ton by the next day and I could at least function again but I could’ve been robbed by a toddler and wouldn’t have been able to stop them that first bad day. Woozy, sweating, achy. It was bad-bad.

Zicam is great but whatever version of this flu is type A super. It takes a big old dump on anything.

That was the big kick in the balls. After the flu subsided I guess I had some trapped bacteria in my sinuses and came down with a sinus infection. The zicam helped once I got to that point but man, the whole month of January sucked balls.

Very very true. There is one day everyone that lives in my house looked at each other as if death was upon us.
What is this Xofluza?
To anyone reading this that hasn't gotten this on New Year's Eve I got something like a type A flu. This is exactly like it but just go run into that Mack truck.
To anyone reading this that hasn't gotten it. Just order everything you need offline And don't shake hands at work.

This thread might not exist had he done so.
His symptoms would have just been less severe, so yeah, we probably don't get this thread.

I was able to go back to work and normal activities, including shitposting here, last week but it's taken another week to get over the cough and general malaise feeling. Tried to work out yesterday and my conditioning has taken a big hit.

Flu A for me was rigors (extreme cold shaking for hours. No blankets helped), along with diarrhea, then vomiting, then fever. Every time I drank liquid, it would come out 15 minutes later. I become so dehydrated I ended up in the ER to receive an IV. I had no congestion or cough. Additionally, my at home test showed me negative the whole time. I was positive only during my ER flu test.
To whoever is reading this that thinks they're greater than everybody because they got the stupid flu shot and WILL never get this. Order an electric throw blanket.

A very close family member is an EMT firefighter Is required to get every flu shot and every VAX booster under God. They got pneumonia from influenza type A.
This person is 6 foot 3 and in excellent shape Bench presses tree trunks .And you're not gonna tell me that if they didn't have the stupid flu shot they would have died.

My wife and 2 sons (7 and 9) all had type B last week. It rocked my 9 year old's world. He's still coughing and feeling sluggish 10 days after testing positive. I somehow managed to make it through unscathed.

I did an AI search My symptoms and applied it to my area It confirmed that it's very high...very contagious. They called it Influenza A with another variant I can't remember. I call it Mack Truck.
What is the difference in type A and type B?

Not if you took your old bitty self to the doctor and got a prescription for Xofluza.

No idea, but I've had the flu once in my life, and I don't ever want either type again

It's this one day pill that they have now that apparently is an anti-viral drug like Tamiflu but better. If you take it within the first two days of symptoms, it really helps a ton.

Kid got diagnosed Monday and today it hit me. It hurts. Xofluza save me.
