Obsessed Apple people are weird.

Third or fourth topic you’ve made this week about apple. You’re definitely a fricking geek

Even if he has done nothing, which I can assume based on your tone that's what you're implying, they are still happy with him as the only that matters is the returns they have had. "Proof is in the pudding" comes to mind.
The increase in market capitalization was offered as an example of Tim Cook’s success at the helm of Apple. I want to know what decisions did he make to gain said market capitalization since that is being offered as evidence for him being a success.

What changes did Tim Cook implement that led to Apple experiencing an increase in market capitalization?
On the stock side he started paying fairly decent dividends where as Jobs didn’t pay any, he has bought back a ton of stock every quarter for over a decade including some record breaking buybacks at the time, and he initiated at least one split.
He has controlled growth of existing product lines maximizing his supply chain over innovation at times, using China, and taking advantage of existing Apple customers staying on the reservation for both iOS devices & services/apps. There has been a consistency to earnings, dividends, and buybacks that made it a safe bet.
He took over a company as the CEO when it was dominating markets which were also fairly new, had a ton of cash, had zero debt, and a large base of loyal customers getting more hooked into the Apple ecosystem everyday. Some of that growth was going to happen regardless. He really needed to innovate and push out some profitable new product lines and push innovation and higher quality in software instead of constantly promoting or keeping executives who don’t challenge him. There is no tech vision at the helm of Apple with a lot of yes arse kissers around Cook, and they need it more with China issues, EU issues, and also RCS challenges to a small extent.
EDIT: Cook was actually officially promoted from COO to CEO by Jobs while Jobs was still alive. Jobs became chairman of the board and focused on special projects/products and involved in any major strategic decisions which was what was basically happening off and on for a few years while his health went up and down. Cook is an operations guy who needs a tech vision guy, but realistically only Jobs could have been that at Apple as the chairman of the board with Cook or anyone as the CEO.

They'll have hard time getting rid of Cook.

Apple has been dead since Jobs died

I’m not arguing that Apple is a Ronco rotisserie and bbq, but is there no room to question Cook at any time?
Based on the responses thus far there is no tolerance for any questioning of Tim Cook.

I'd say the responses thus far show that people have no tolerance for bad faith shitposting.

What was said that you would deem bad faith shitposting?

I don’t know why people get upset at any questioning of Tim Cook. I have no allegiance to him. But I do think that he has done very little, if anything, meaningful. Not sure why people are so upset.

This was done under the tax break Trump provided companies to bring home off shore earnings (accrued by avoiding US tax) under the guise that companies would use it to invest in America. Instead he used it to buy back stock and increase options for himself and others. In other words he fcked America......and now he is getting it back in spades with the 25% tariff on finished goods.

He sure mastered fcking the US out of tax dollars and any economic benefit, while pretending to be an "American" company.
Manufacturing abroad, incorporating in Ireland, capturing the profits outside the US, and investing outside the US and then selling to the US.
Once again, while people think Trump is being a "meanie" this shathead had a decade to move his "American" company home and he chose poorly, and even screwed us to our face when he brought profits home and bought his own stock.
This nonsense about costing a fortune to build a phone in the US is just that nonsense. Cars are a wee bit more complex that a stupid phone and any number of foreign companies (who contribute far more to America) can do it. Whats the real reason......tax avoidance......and we are about to make it right.
And to you clowns talking nonsense about an Auburn degree, dont disparage something because you could not obtain it.

They may have used that tax break, but they were buying back stock before tax break. They sell bonds at very low interest to get the cash instead of using cash on hand and paying additional taxes transferring in cash held elsewhere. Even with tax break they were using bonds when it cost them less. That is where Apple’s debt comes from.
