Makes me wonder how these people that frequently do burn outs can afford to buy new tires more often than from normal wear

Well, no shite. Good thing you weren't alive (or paying attention) during the Jimmy Carter years with the prime interest rate above 10%, and approaching 21% during the beginning of Reagan).
But every product has also changed as the average consumer (not the annoying assholes who keep bragging about the V8 in their 22 year old Chevy, which is probably you) has demanded more in every product, from cleaning products to tires, to vehicles, to phones.
A comic book from the 60s cost 10 cents. Now the average for Spider Man is $6.

Yeah but the thing is when cars are $1000 going up 10% won’t kill you when you make adjusted income that offsets that. It’s when cars cost $50k plus go up 5% hurts like a mofo

Bro what benefit do I have lying here? I don’t even know you guys so what’s the point of bragging?

The Continentals I put on the MINI are still under $200 bucks a tire.

I spend a frick pile on tires. My wife’s X5M gets about 15k to 20k on a set and there probably $2500 a set and my Tesla is 2k a set and I get about 30k on them. 37’s for my 250 are about $2200 to $2500 now for a set if I had to guess.
Sounds like someone didn’t do their research on maintenance costs before buying their vehicles… tough luck

I just put 4 20” Bridgestone Duelers on my wife’s Traverse for under $1K..
Got them from Banner Chevrolet, which was cheaper than Sam’s and Walmart….
Dealerships usually have price matching and is pretty cheap with tires.
