I have three friends who have moved to CO over the past 18mos. One from Tx, one from La, and one from Ga, and they've all assured me they're never leaving and it was the best move they've ever made.

It really makes me think about it.

The front range is booming. Unfortunately, from what I've read, this isn't a good thing. Liberals are bringing their politics from CA. The highways to get into the mountains are a nightmare on the weekends. Those searching to live the Instagram adventure life are trashing beautiful natural areas.

Colorado Springs has been a little under the radar, but maybe not now that Denver is packed.

Others mentioned some smaller mountain towns. Those are great with the condition that good jobs are much more difficult to find.

I would only consider three of those:

4-Myrtle Beach, SC
8-Nashville, TN
9-Colorado Springs, CO

Same for me.

Just returned from a visit to Myrtle Beach. Could definitely live there.

Lol Myrtle Beach is the trashiest place on the list

Fact. Ppl from SC call it Dirty Myrtle for a reason.

Greenville would be a better choice. Not too far from the coast and not too far from the mountains.

1- Anchorage, AK
2- Bangor, ME
3- Las Vegas, NV
4-Myrtle Beach, SC
5-Honolulu, HI
6-Key West, FL
7-Los Angeles, CA
8-Nashville, TN
9-Colorado Springs, CO
10-Houston, TX

Maine is too cold, MB S.C. is over rated. Key West-maybe, CO maybe, the rest have high cost of livings.

Anchorage is losing population, fwiw

Needed it. Housing costs were getting terrible. It's probably temporary, unfortunately.

Myrtle Beach is indeed trashy. And cheesy and shitty. But the outlying areas of Pawley’s Island, Murrels Inlet, Georgetown etc are awesome. I’d wouldn’t mind living in the Low Country

I’d bet there are more pop and rock stars per capita in Williamson Co than anywhere else on the planet. You can go to downtown Franklin on a Saturday, close your eyes, throw a rock, and hit a pop star

That’s not to say the same isn’t true about country, but just because the industry is here, the illusion that it’s all or nothing is wrong. Everybody is here. Especially the 90’s early 2000 rock guys. They all tour or are trying to write/get cuts on country artists records cause that’s where the $ is.

Nashville’s Tech scene is under radar on the national scene. We are a booming tech city. WorkIT Nashville is a great community helping fund skilled tech guys to fill needs. We are 1000’s of qualified employees short of the demand. Anyone you know looking send them to WorkIT Nashville
