Married a South American woman. Beautiful (no pics), loyal and traditional.

I don't speak Spanish and her English is bad, so that has been a struggle.

I had to up my game, get in better shape and update my wardrobe. She cooks and takes care of the house. My friends can't believe how well she cooks and caters to me.

Overall? 9 out of 10, because any arguments we have are brutal

No but they are much easier to control.

These American girls are too entitled.

My son married a Polynesian woman who went to school in Latin America before coming to the US to work as a nanny. She is very attentive to him but insists they support her family on the island and visit them as much as possible. Somehow that came as a surprise to him. Beware!

In process now & awaiting her VISA

50/50 Venezuala / Colombiana
Born in Caracas, had great life there until it gradually became Communist & they escaped in 2017, 5-day bus ride, to Cali, Colombia.

Her Mom’s family is from Cartagena.

I was on/off dating a Honduran that moved to USA 25 years ago when she was young, but she lived in ATL & the distance, PLUS her temper & unwillingness to take any blame & also she got Americanized in some ways, but took great care and attention to me, but she became a pain in my arse.

We would break up often & I had some Colombian friends that invited to Medillin, so I put my Tinder on down there & it is like a feeding frenzy of Models & Playmate Calendar type of quality!

I wasn’t aggressive with it, met a couple of them, but still had feelings for the first Ex & then we got back together.

But it WAS AT THAT MOMENT, I told myself If we ever truly broke up, I would go to Colombia and find a great one.

Fast forward & then I was invited to a Baptism in Cali, Colombia & so I put on my Tinder & planned to be patient and just have some conversations in advance of the trip & narrow down to 2-3 latinas & split my trip in 2-3 day time periods to get to know them in person.

WELL, my convo with one of them was so natural and easy conversations, the. We started to FaceTime etc…

And I went down there ahead of the baptism, shut down the other talks & wanted to spend some time with this one & see if it’s for real.

Flew down there by myself, she met me at the airport, ran and jumped into my arms & it was magical from the first seconds to currently.

So we decided that we would like to push forward and spend some time & TELL EACH OTHER EVERY DETAIL ABOUT OURSELVES, TOTAL TRANSPARENCY.

And then I did a couple other trips, we had gotten to know each other very well, she knows more details & understands me more than my ex-wife.

We filed our K-1 Visa paperwork & it was submitted and accepted in October & now awaiting the call/email for the interview & then it’s a done deal.

Most Humble, Caring, Very Innocent Minded, Tough, Easy Going girl I’ve ever known. Still puts her laundry on clothes lines on top of her apartment building roof, has to walk up a Jacobs Ladder with a clothes hamper & does it with a smile.

No air condition
No hot water
NO COMPLAINTS

Appreciates everything
Caters to me like never before, we did some traveling down there on multiple trips (she can’t come here at all because being born in Venezuala, we need the VISA, period)

But with traveling, you get to know someone & sometimes I often lose my cool with some jackass at an airport or rude folks or whatever, and she always has my back & brings me to chill mode quick!

Professional Salsa & Belly Dancing Skills & that translates to other skills! And super beautiful, no pics.

It’s ingrained in Latin women’s DNA to take care of their man & what I’ve found is that the Latinos down there are mostly male pigs, multiple families, always playing around on them, treat them like “go in the kitchen and make me a sammich” and they talk down to the women in many cases.

So the latinas down there LOVE AMERICAN GRINGOS especially!

And in talks, just to see the temperature, downplay your successes or financial abilities etc…. Not really a test, because I didn’t do that; but she still says to this day, “Papisito, I’ll be happy and content with a roof and food just to be with you”.

Try to buy her a dress or shoes when down there etc… and she insist I save
My money.

Her grandpa helped raise her & she says “all I need is 4 pairs of shoes, tennis, boots, sandals & dress shoes”.

Not saying they will all be this way & it’s amazing with her experiences in Venezuala and having to go thru that, but it didn’t negatively affect her, she’s tough as nails. Her home city is where “Tren De Aragua” the gang that’s causing damage here now, but it got so bad, most folks had to mostly stay inside toward the end before leaving.

On your profile, put in there the things you like to do, and just say your looking for a good woman for long term, one that would be willing and able to move to the USA & and can at least speak some English & willing to learn the language and that you’ll try to learn some Spanish too.

Because if they don’t speak any English, it’s REAL TOUGH! But she spoke some & she’s been taking 3-4 hours per day in English Academy so
She will be as good as she can when she arrives.

ALSO, I have a great contact down there that can assist with the VISA paperwork, huge savings versus Immigration attorneys here, much cheaper, just hit me up, but I don’t read much responses, sorry

Lastly, it’s much easier to fly into Bogota and Medillin, rather than Cali, but Bogota women are the more serious types for Colombia and not as hot.

Medillin is incredible, love everything about it & MANY women are World Class but beware of a hustle.

Cali is a mix of both with some World class talent, but it’s an extra connecting flight, but I can still get there in 6 hours from NOLA airport.

What I like about Cali is that it’s non-touristy, rent an Airbnb in “GRENADA”, tons of GREAT restaurants & Dancing, SUPER SAFE!

Medillin is tempting to go, but it’s gotten touristy & known for the “PAISA” which are what a girl from Medillin is called & they are PROUD OF IT! But they have some MAJOR HUSTLES for tourist men & that’s why I didn’t go there by myself, was with a friend from there. But Cali, I did by myself & been super happy since! Just need her here now.

Trivia for ya: Venezolanas (which often a have Colombian bloodline too), but I believe they have Won Ms. Universe & beauty pageants than any other country in the world & the only country to have back to back Champs.

Back in the day, Venezuala was like the “California Gold Rush” for Colombian business men, the money, OIL & GOLD is there & Colombians would move there for business. And that’s what happened to my woman, her Mom’s family moved to Caracas and then she met her Dad.

but something is in the Water down there, no need thank me Later!

Married traditional conservative filipina that is a millennial but mind of gen x. Told me before we were married that she promised to be the best wife she could be for me and to make me happy. We discussed everything beforehand. That was, we knew each other's boundaries and where the lines in the sand were. Examples. No guys night at the bars. I asked her what her thoughts were on ladies nights out at bars or clubs. She said, what self respecting woman that is in a relationship is going to be out and about tramoing the streets at night without her man? I said, American women. Lol we discussed everything. Like how the man opens the door for her when dating but how that dies out after being married. How the headaches start happening after marriage. Wife told me, you don't ever have to worry about me having a headache.

There are horror stories though of American men marrying foreign women though. For one, when you are chatting or talking to them, they don't ask important relevant questions about them, their upbringing, thoughts on how a wife should act, what they expect from a husband, etc etc. Secondly, we get them in groups all the time after they have been married asking for advice because they are having probs with their wife. They talk about things they saw and that their wife did when dating. 9 times out of 10, nothing but red flags, yet they ignored them and didn't run for the hills. Now they are married, have a kid and their life is being made a living hell.

There are great traditional foreign women out there. But you have to ask the right questions when getting to know each other. You want someone that wants to cater to you and make it all about making you happy.

It's like this. American women for the most part make it all about them. It's me me me me. In Philippines, the woman caters and takes care of the man. Well, the boys there grow up seeing that and expecting that. Thus, most filipina women feel unappreciated. Well, they meet an American man that they treat like a king. The American man is used to it being all about the woman. All of a sudden he is being treated like a king. Oh wow. I appreciate you. So now you have the man being treated like a king and the Filipina woman being appreciated for once for how she treats her man. One compliments the other. Most Americans jump on the first one they meet like that, not realizing that most traditional Filipinas are like that.

You have to be aware of the scammers too. Every week, someone is dying or in hospital that needs help. If one starts to give sob story or asks for anything, move on down the road

Music with subtitles are a huge help. I can point and peck my way through Spanish but when you run into a cuban it all goes out the window

Got engaged to a woman when I was living in Bangalore, India. Had it good, multiple caretakers, a car driver, cook, etc. Can’t blame her for not wanting to leave, especially since her family owned a cricket team in Kolkata.

I should have probably stayed there but I guess I was a rundi ki bacha after all.
