New super cell hook is forming due west of Cullman and Good Hope, AL. Velocity scans are impressive.
Edit: tornado warned now. Including both Cullman and Good Hope, AL.

Life threatening tornado on the ground is typically when it's used in warnings.

Had my eye on that one for a good 20 minutes now. Was afraid of it getting that together by the time it rolled into Cullman.

Damn. That doesn't look good.

Last velocity scan is that of a violent tornado. I hope your folks are in the shelter.

Seems like Cullman gets hit every year

The Cullman storm ramped up so quickly.
It must have just felt like it dropped out of the sky.

I'd keep an eye out on those storms to the west of Arley, AL. They are tracking along the same line as the Cullman storms. Starting to intensify as well.

There's another suspect area west of Cullman moving in their direction now too.
Shear at play is nasty nasty stuff. Once a good updraft gets going, it'll rotate. With fast moving storms and the potential to spin up this fast, it's a dangerous night in north Alabama.

Convection is off the charts south of Cullman.
