Who hasn't heard that word before? He has the form of Tourette's that makes him shout out the most socially unacceptable word for any given situation. Put him in a large crowd where his tics are going to be amplified and he's going to say some offensive stuff. The dude can't help it.
ETA: I bet this incident will only help to fuel sales for the movie. Which is a good thing, we shouldn't ostracize people who have involuntary tics

I once had a girl sit next to me at a gate waiting on a flight. Attractive but had a tic where she uncontrollably laughed like the joker. At first I thought she was on the phone but then realized what was going on and felt bad because her voice sounded hoarse from doing it so much.
