Wondering the same thing. Have an early morning flight Thursday.

I'm just hoping the Amite doesn't pull another August on us.

GFS-Para has it stalling and shifting west just offshore for a few hours before pushing inland.

Still just a big sloppy mess but lots of moisture slowly moving into the Gulf.

12z Euro Para is only about 5-7" for most areas, this is in pretty good agreement with the WPC graphic posted earlier.

So what kind of effect would that have on the Northshore? Particularly areas that flooded in March 2016?

It is hard to speculate at this point, still too much uncertainty. The best bet is just pay attention to the local NWS office.

Well they still call for scattered thunderstorms so I dont know how much help they are.

Is this going to be gone before LSU first home game

not to be a alarmist but having lived here my entire life, this doesn't look good. The Tangi is still a little high but is almost back to normal. Hopefully this this thing pushes east a bit. What we don't need is it to stall over the northshore. If it does odds are we could see another March or August of 2016.

Nothing concrete, just an area of disturbed weather.

So the center is over land? From looking at radar it sure doesn't look that way. Watch the Euro end up being right all along.

There is no true center. We don't really have a storm yet. We have multiple disorganized "circulations".
